This is not a random call! Great effort has been spent to determine who is entitled to the assets we have located. It is worth a few minutes of your time to get more information. If you prefer, we can speak with a relative or trusted advisor. Please understand that in some cases if no action is taken your claim rights could expire.

HOW COULD I HAVE MISSING ASSETS?
  • Dormant assets often belong to people who have passed away.
  • Situations such as divorce, death, relocation, job loss, and business hardship are common reasons assets become dormant, lost or ignored.
  • It is possible that a relative had investments, insurance policies, or bank accounts that you did not know  about.
  • It is possible that a financial matter was overlooked during a time of stress.

WHAT IS THE COST OF YOUR SERVICES?
There are no up front costs. Fees are contingent on collection of assets and are determined by what is required to document ownership, the risk we take relative to the amount we must expend to prove ownership, and the anticipated difficulty in recovering the assets on your behalf. We will be able to document information in the agreement.

ARE YOU A COLLECTION AGENCY?
A collection agency specializes in the collection of delinquent debt, where as U.S. Surplus Recovery Group operates in direct contrast…We specialize in locating and assisting individuals and businesses in receiving funds that are rightfully theirs.

HOW DID MY FUNDS GET LOST?
There are many reasons for unclaimed assets. Many are the result of an address change, name change, incomplete information or the individual is not aware of the claim.

WHY CAN’T I DO THIS MYSELF?
That would depend on your experience, time, availability and the difficulty of proving your right of ownership. Government data shows that a Hugh number of claims are rejected for failure to provide proof and navigate the legal hurdles. Fund holders require enormous amounts of evidence to avoid lawsuits.

WHERE ARE THE ASSETS CURRENTLY BEING HELD?
The funds we recover are usually held by various government entities. It depends on your situation, the amount of time the asset have been unclaimed, what state you live in. They are not held in the State Abandoned Property Office.

WHAT PAPERWORK DO I HAVE TO SIGN?
To begin the asset recovery process, you will return a notarized agreement and limited power of attorney. This provides us with permission and authority to recover your funds. Occasionally, the entity holding the funds may require additional documentation.

WHAT DOES A LIMITED POWER OF ATTORNEY AUTHORIZE?
The limited Power of Attorney specifies that it is valid for “one transaction only” and describes the specific actions that we may take to assist you in recovering your funds.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECOVER MY FUNDS?
The majority of our clients receive their funds in two to four months after the recovery process is initiated. Recovery times can vary significantly, however, depending on the origin of your funds and the circumstances of your claim. Once we receive your properly executed recovery documents and the requested supporting documents, we will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO CLAIM MY FUNDS?
Yes, you may lose the right to claim your funds based on where your funds originate. Depending on which state the claim is filed it could be anywhere from one year to six years from their original issue date. If these funds are not claimed within this time period, you will loose your funds. After the time period most entities are permitted to extinguish the liability and keep the monies. In such a case you loose the right to your assets. Time frames are extremely important. The sooner we can expedite the process the sooner you can receive your funds and not loose your money to the government entity.

THIS SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?
We understand this impression and confront it every day. We do not charge any up front fees. We contacted you because we already determined you are the rightful owner of unclaimed assets. We get paid on a contingency basis once we expedite the claim on your behalf.
